San Andreas' Premier Source for Industrial Materials

As the contract operator for the Davis Quartz site, Caldera Minerals powers regional growth with high-quality quartz, aggregates, and construction essentials.

About Us & History

Tucked into the arid hills east of Harmony, the Davis Quartz Mining Facility stands as one of San Andreas’ last active hard rock quarries. Founded in 1952 to serve the exploding postwar construction demand, the site has operated continuously for over seven decades, supplying vital materials to regional infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy projects.

Once privately owned, the site was restructured under state oversight in recent years as part of the San Andreas Industrial Resources Program, aimed at revitalizing critical mineral and material extraction operations throughout the county. With an emphasis on safety, long-term labor, and contractor accessibility, the facility is now open for both state-partnered contracts and private sector fulfillment. Today, the Davis Quartz Mining Facility processes thousands of tons of industrial-grade materials each month and serves as a central hub for organized quarrying, refinement, and logistics in Blaine County.

Davis Quartz Mining Facility operates under contract as the primary industrial operator at the Davis Quartz site, located off Senora Way. While the quarry is not owned by the company, Caldera Minerals Inc. holds the current mineral extraction and operations contract for the region. This public-private agreement grants Caldera Minerals the exclusive right to extract, refine, and transport industrial-grade materials on-site.

We work in coordination with state agencies and local authorities to maintain safe, sustainable operations that meet strict environmental and industrial regulations. As a result, all activity within the quarry is governed by permit standards, workforce compliance, and daily oversight.
